Carasau bread is a typical Sardinian bread, its name comes from the Sardinian word, carasare which means to toast.
The bread after a first baking is cut and then baked a second time taking on a very thin and crispy disc shape.
It can be eaten alone or accompanied with spreadable creams. It is also used to make some typical Sardinian recipes such as pane guttiau, or pane frattau.
